Henry's Lunchbox - Week 14

Henry packed 5 days of school lunches this week. His lunches had highs and lows. On Monday, he ate a cookie and a pistachio. On Friday, he devoured everything in his lunchbox. Now, he is off from school for two weeks of winter break.

Henry's Lunchbox - Week 12

This week Henry packed 4 days of school lunches.

For December, our family is doing a kindness advent calendar. Each morning we find out a secret kindness mission for the day and talk about the experience at dinner. I put together a version that fits our family with kid-friendlyideas from several sources. We're calling them "secret kindness missions" since it gives Henry a sense that he has a special job (like a secret agent).

On DAY 4 (December 1), I used Henry's lunchbox noteto remind him about this new December routine. I read him the note before school so that he would know what it said. His kindness activity for the first day was to give both of his teachers a compliment. During breakfast, we role played a few things that he could say. At dinner, he reported back that his mission was accomplished. He is already excited about what comes next!
