Feeding Our Family at Disneyland and California Adventure Park - Lunches and Dinners

The Disney land theme parks cover a lot of acreage and have an array of dining options spread throughout . Instead of racing from one e nd to another, w e tried to select restaurants based on which part of the parks we were in each day.  Look at those muscles! The Disneyland re sort has a huge variety of dining options, but choosing the right ones for your family can be over whelming. For the most part, our group of four adults and one child opted for mostly moderate meals at casual dining restaurants. Enjoying the sunshine at Downtown Disney It is easy to preview menus and make adv anced reservations using the Disneyland website and mo bile app. Per sonally, I was surp rised by the limited menus at most of the prop erties inside the Disney theme parks . Each restaurant sticks very closely to its theme, so you 'll generally find only 4 -10 adult meals and 2-4 kids meal option s at each location. Feeding Our Family at Disneyland - Breakfast

Last week, we took a family vacation to Dis n eyland ! It was a sun-filled week of thrill rides, water slides and Mickey Mouse .   Traveling with kids is always an adventure with late nights , unexpected surprises, and unfamiliar restaurants . Eating out can be expensive, but we made an effort to seek out affordable options . We fou nd a variety of food choices at the Disney hotels, Downtown Disney, and in the two Disneyland parks . The Disneyland website and mo bile app made it easy to preview menus and make res ervations . In particular, we looked for places that offered some high-protein, low-carb options, as well as fr uits and vegetables . Of course there were lots of sweet treats, but there was also plenty of walking to help balance it out. Avoiding the expense of a rental car meant that we could splurge and sta y at the Disneyland Hotel , but we did not have easy access to a grocery store.
